Group Ministry – Join a Group or Start a Group

At Good News Church we seek to create a culture in which Kingdom-centered groups can multiply. So the leaders of Good News Church repeatedly say,

“Join a group or start a group. Either choice is fine.”

We believe that God shapes our hearts as we gather with others to worship Him. We believe that Jesus places each Christian in a local church and that part of our identity is connected to the worshiping group to which we belong.

The Intercessory Prayer Group at Good News Church meets every Thursday night 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. for a time of prayer and encouragement for the Kingdom of God to come and the will of God to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Everyone is welcome to join for this evening.
GNC has a bi-weekly connect group for young adults ages 18 to 29. It is made up of Christ followers who are committed to gathering and encouraging one another. We meet every other Sunday night 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a time of food, interactive games, and devotions, We invite those who come to bring a snack to share as well as any friends that would need or enjoy the support of a faith community.  To subscribe to our weekly reminders, click here
GNC helps fund and staff two three-day camps for 300 boys and girls in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic every year. Most of these children live in orphanages. Many volunteers from our church have been part of the short-term ministry teams that go to the DR for 10 days each summer. Our annual financial goal is $12,000. It costs $40 to sponsor a child, and includes their bunking, meals, t-shirt, and prizes.
Every week, the men of Good News Church meet Wednesday mornings from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. for a breakfast at Peppermill Restaurant in Mechanicsburg:

1010 Wesley Drive, Mechanicsburg PA 17050

Any men are welcome to join for a time of fellowship, devotion, and prayer over bacon and eggs and hot coffee.
